Since its establishment in 1992, the Big Tex Scholarship Program has awarded more than $20.1 million in new college scholarships to more than 3,700 students. In 2025, 115 Youth Livestock Scholarship Awards were presented to high school seniors from across the state who exhibited their 4-H or FFA projects at the State Fair of Texas. An additional 96 awards were presented to graduating seniors from six neighboring Dallas ISD high schools, seven awards were presented to Seasonal Employees of the State Fair of Texas, and two ancillary scholarships were awarded to existing scholars.
